Full-time administrative manager for animal protection nonprofit in Washington, DC area. The administrative manager will be responsible for coordinating field staffs’ traveling schedules, information dissemination, financial bookkeeping and other general administrative duties.
Qualifications include:
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Access). A working knowledge of Intuit Quickbooks is desired.
  • The ability to set, manage and meet deadlines.
  • Strong database setup, data-entry and manipulation experience.
  • Impeccable organizational skills.
  • A proven record at multi-tasking.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, energy and a positive outlook in a hectic work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of two years office management experience.

Key job duties:

  • Create and manage databases using MS Access or equivalent.
  • Maintain office files, track and keep records.
  • Function as a support system for program staff, including those in the field.
  • Log travel schedules and book travel for staff.
  • Track meetings and set up conference calls.
  • Prepare mailings.
  • Manage expense reimbursement requests.
  • Support function for head of program.
