Freedom Moon is a beautiful documentation of the bears who were rescued following agreements with Chinese and Vietnamese farmers to retire the cruel practice and relinquish their licenses. Pre-rescue images of horrifically compromised bears in cages, hooked up to bile extracting catheters, are juxtaposed with post-rescue images of carefree bears socializing in the lush sanctuary.
