Hundreds of recognized organizations across the United States are opposed to the slaughter of American horses for human consumption, including racing and competition associations, breed registries, and equine veterinary groups. This page lists some of the groups that support the SAFE Act to end horse slaughter. In addition to the groups listed below, AWI co-leads the Homes for Horses Coalition, which includes hundreds of members, all of whom are supportive of the SAFE Act.
